The Exclusive Pretty n Pink T-Shirt
Northern Ireland's most celebrated red-carpet ceremony the FATE Awards 2010 in association with Diet Coke have teamed up with Belfast based fashion designer Una Rodden to support local breast cancer charity, Pretty 'N' Pink, creating a limited edition tee-shirt range.
A host of female personalities from across the province have lent their support to the campaign including UTV's Pamela Ballantine Lynda Bryans and Alison Fleming, Cool FM's Sonya Mac, U105's Carolyn Stewart, model bosses Tracey Hall and Alison Campbell along with magazine editors Lisa Harrison and Lyn Palmer. Hairdresser Brenda Shankey, Emma-Louise Johnston, Khara Pringle and actress Alexandra Ford can also be seen striking a pose.

FATE magazine publisher Michael Bell who is supporting Pretty 'N' Pink at the 2010 awards ceremony commented, "Every year at the FATE Awards we nominate a local charity to help support. At the 2009 ceremony we chose Pretty 'N' Pink and I was deeply touched by the phenomenal hard work and determination by Noleen Rooney that I was determined to pledge more support. I am grateful to everyone who has supported us so far in particular Una Rodden for the time and talent she has dedicated to this project, and also to Khara Pringle and Bradley Quinn for capturing the range of personalities perfectly.
Through the sale of the tee-shirt and fundraising at the Fate Awards 2010, we are determined to raise £20k for the charity".
The variety of female's in the campaign highlights the message that women of any age can be affected by breast cancer and encourages women of all walks of life to support the vital work of the charity.
Widely recognized as Northern Ireland's most successful fashion designer, Una Rodden has for the first time created a design that can be worn by all women across the province. "Breast cancer is an issue close to me and I was delighted to have been asked by Fate to create the tee-shirt. The two designs both use pink chiffon, the colour iconic with breast cancer, which can be worked into different styles to create an individual piece. I hope through the design, it inspires women to wear the tee and in turn generate awareness of breast cancer".
Pretty 'N' Pink was founded over three years ago by 31 year old Noleen Adair, who has battled the disease, twice aged 22 and 25 (bone metastasis). The cancer returned in July 2007 minor treatment required, May 2008 (spread to liver) and now in 2010 (spread to lung) she is fighting cancer again.
Noleen stated,
"I would like to thank Fate Magazine for their continued support of Pretty n Pink Breast Cancer Charity, the t-shirt was an excellent idea and I am delighted and overwhelmed that so many people dedicated their time to putting it together from production to the photo shoot. It is an excellent tool for raising awareness as well as raising vital funds to support patients right here in Northern Ireland".
Unfortunately breast cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK, many of us know someone who has experienced breast cancer and so it's very important to drive home the message to every female that they must check their breasts and if over the age of 40 they must have a mammogram each year.
When I was asked to model and support the Fate Awards cancer charity Pretty n Pink, I jumped at the chance.
My maternal grandmother had both bowel and skin cancer, my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago suffering a re-occurrence of a completely unrelated strain of breast cancer over a year ago
