Pretty 'n' Pink Breast Cancer Charity recently hosted a Gala Variety Show at Ramada Plaza Belfast. The event was in tribute to our inspirational founder Noleen Adair who passed away in June at the age of 35 after a long 13 year battle with the illness. It was a night for us to pay tribute to Noleen in a way which she would have wanted, and that was by having fun!
The evening was hosted by Noleen's friend Marcus Hunter Neill, with performances from James Huish (also a close friend) along with renditions from Les Miserables and Miss Saigon by the Belfast School of Performing Arts. Entertainment also included fire breathers the Fire Angels, the Aisling School of Irish Dance, a Bollywood dance performance from the Indian Community Centre Belfast, and the Queens University Belfast Success Lion Dance Society.
Guests also enjoyed a Diageo drinks reception and three course meal.
The 'BIG' announcement of the night was that Pretty 'n' Pink would be making a further donation of £100,000 to Friends of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, bringing the overall total donated by Pretty 'n' Pink to 'Friends' to £300,000. This money is used to provide practical help and support to breast cancer patients receiving treatment at Belfast City Hospital.
A further £6,000 was raised at the event from the auction, star prize draw and raffle, which will go toward funding the Pretty 'n' Pink Support Fund.
With thanks to ALL who helped make the event so successful.
