A Gift of Comfort Room opens at Glenanne Unit

A Gift of Comfort Room opens at Glenanne Unit, providing vital support and care for patients throughout their breast cancer journey.

We were delighted to join the Southern Trust in celebrating the opening of our “A Gift of Comfort” Room at the Glenanne Unit, Craigavon Area Hospital.

Through our Gift of Comfort Scheme, we are proud to partner with the Trust to provide free post-surgery bras to patients following breast cancer surgery. The opening of this dedicated space marks an important step in ensuring patients have access to a safe, private, and welcoming environment for bra fittings and support throughout their breast cancer journey.

Beautifully furnished by Pretty n Pink, the room is dedicated to the memory of our founder, Noleen, whose vision and unwavering commitment to supporting those diagnosed with breast cancer continues to inspire everything we do.

We were also delighted to be joined by our charity partners, Jocelyn and Yvonne from Orchid Lingerie Belfast and The Lingerie Room Dungannon. Working alongside Leanne for many years, Jocelyn and Yvonne have played an important role in supporting patients through the provision of post-surgery bras. They will continue this support by providing recipients of A Gift of Comfort with a second bra and a professional bra fitting service.

A sincere thank you to the Southern Trust and the dedicated breast cancer nurses for the opportunity to help create not only a safe and comfortable space, but also a dedicated bra fitting room where patients can access specialist support, comfort, dignity, and care when they need it most.

Thank you to Councillor Jessica Johnston for her valued support throughout her Deputy Lord Mayor term and for presenting us with a generous £3,000 cheque to help us continue supporting those affected by breast cancer.
