Somerville Shopfitting Ltd take on the ultimate cycle challenge

Four inspirational guys from the Somerville team take on the Giant Taiwan in April 2019 for Pretty ‘n Pink Breast Cancer Charity.

The Somerville team are taking on the ultimate challenge and entering the ‘Mallorca 312 – Giant – Taiwan’ in April. Forget Grand Fondo, it’s all about the cyclist’s paradise in Mallorca!

This is a self-funded trip made up by Neil Long, Craig Long, Barry McKay and Paul Shields. The team will tackle a gruelling 312km of Spanish terrain, which sees them starting at 7am in Playa de Muro and finishing at 9pm that evening. The registration of the event sold out in a matter of days and with 8000 participants due on 27th April, this is clearly a very popular event!

It’s a testing challenge for any cyclist, so the guys decided it was worth raising money for a nominated, local charity. It was collectively decided that all funds would be donated to Pretty ‘n Pink which is the only Breast Cancer Charity in Northern Ireland based. We’re delighted to be involved with this worthwhile charity and hope to raise much needed funds over the coming months.
